Law Enforcement Torch Run Oregon NEWSLETTER ARCHIVES

The week of June 25-29, torch runs took place on the South Coast and in the Valley. These two torches made their way to kick off the 2007 Special Olympics Oregon Summer Games in Hillsboro. Hours of planning, driving and running went into delivering the Flame of Hope to our athletes, and it was welcomed with open arms and smiles. Over the weekend, over 100 law enforcement personnel volunteered by passing out medals, participating in Opening Ceremonies, spending time in Olympic Town, etc. Many hours of planning and hard work went into making this an amazing experience for our athletes, and it beyond exceeded everyone’s expectations. THANK YOU for helping make this year one of the best Summer Games experiences in Special Olympics Oregon history. It was an incredibly special weekend for law enforcement, volunteers and most importantly for the athletes of Special Olympics Oregon.
